Due to high winds and elevated wildfire dangers, many areas in California are experiencing power outages in order to reduce fire risks. Companies such as Pacific Gas & Electric Co. (PG&E) and San Diego Gas & Electric (SDGE) indicate the Public Safety Power Shutoff could impact nearly 800,000 customers across 50 counties this week.
Additionally, there are several active wildfires across the Southern California area, specifically in Sandalwood, Saddleridge and Moreno Valley. Find guidelines to follow in the event of a natural disaster on our TRICARE Disaster Coverage page.
We recognize these power outages and fires may impact appointment availability and have recommended to beneficiaries in California that they contact their provider(s) to confirm appointments and/or scheduled procedures prior to arriving.
