TRICARE West Region Contract Transition
New TRICARE contracts started on Jan. 1, 2025. With this, the West Region contractor changed from Health Net Federal Services, LLC (HNFS) to TriWest Healthcare Alliance (TriWest).
As part of the transition to TriWest, HNFS’ claims customer service support ended April 30, 2025. Learn more at https://www.tricare.mil/About/Changes/TRICARE-West-Region-Transition.
Beginning May 1, 2025:
- Contact TriWest for all customer service and claims support. You can find TriWest’s contact information at https://tricare.triwest.com/en/contact-tricare-west/.
- Submit all claims and claim adjustment requests to TriWest, regardless of the date of service.
- Submit all appeals and grievances to TriWest, regardless of the date of service or incident.
Q: I submitted a claim to HNFS. How do I check the status?
A: If the date of service is before Jan. 1, 2025, AND the claim was submitted to HNFS by April 30, 2025, you can use our Claim Status tool through through June 30, 2025.
Starting May 1, 2025, check with TriWest on all other claims.
