TRICARE® Portion of MHN Agreements to Transition to HNFS
Thursday, April 25, 2019
Effective May 13, 2019, MHN, LLC (MHN), a sister company to Health Net Federal Services, LLC (HNFS) will no longer be managing the TRICARE West mental health provider network (includes applied behavior analysis providers). Providers currently contracted with MHN as a TRICARE provider will see the TRICARE portion of their MHN agreement transition to HNFS, and providers new to the TRICARE network will work directly with HNFS for contracting and credentialing.
This change only impacts the TRICARE portion of provider agreements with MHN. Commercial MHN business, including MediCal and Medicare plans, remains “business as usual.”
Impacted providers have been notified via U.S. mail.
Important! As part of this transition, impacted providers must verify that their Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare (CAQH®) profile permits global access or specifies that HNFS (not just MHN) can access their CAQH record. Take this necessary step; visit www.caqh.org.
As of May 13, 2019, all mental health/applied behavior analysis providers can begin using HNFS’ online tools and resources to join the TRICARE network, check credentialing status, update provider demographics, and more.
We encourage you to browse our website to find information about TRICARE benefits, processes, requirements, and operations in the West Region, and to become familiar with HNFS’ self-service tools.
