The Essentials of Diabetes Management

Diabetes is a disease in which the body does not produce or properly use insulin. People with diabetes are unable to use glucose effectively. It accumulates in the bloodstream and over time can damage the heart, kidneys, eyes, and nerves.

In this class you will learn the four cornerstones of diabetes self-management: monitoring, medication, nutrition, and physical activity.
