The Essentials of Diabetes Management
Diabetes is a disease in which the body does not produce or properly use insulin. People with diabetes are unable to use glucose effectively. It accumulates in the bloodstream and over time can damage the heart, kidneys, eyes, and nerves.
In this class you will learn the four cornerstones of diabetes self-management: monitoring, medication, nutrition, and physical activity.

All classes are scheduled for 75 minutes, however, they may run longer based on the number of participants and the amount of discussion during the class. Additionally, the instructor will be available for an extra 15 minutes for an optional question and answer period.
