ANCILLARY PROVIDERS: Network locations or providers, such as home health care agencies, speech/physical/occupational therapies, laboratories and radiology centers, that participate in the care of beneficiaries by assisting health care providers in the diagnosis and treatment of illness.
BEHAVIORAL HEALTH FACILITIES: These may include network psychiatric hospitals, psychiatric partial hospital programs, residential treatment facilities, chemical dependency programs, substance use disorder rehabilitation facilities and psychiatric units, which may be free-standing facilities or within general medical-surgical hospitals.
BEHAVIORAL HEALTH PROFESSIONALS: These include network providers of behavioral health care certified by TRICARE, which may include psychiatrists (MD), psychologists (PhD), licensed clinical social workers (LCSW), marriage and family therapists (MFT) and certified psychiatric nurse specialists. Additionally, TRICARE beneficiaries may see a TRICARE-certified licensed professional counselor (LPC), mental health counselor (MHC) or pastoral counselor provided they are referred by a physician (MD or DO) who also supervises the care.
FACILITIES: Network locations such as medical/surgical hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers and skilled nursing facilities.
PHARMACIES: Military Treatment Facilities (MTF) that have agreed to fill prescriptions for individuals using TRICARE program options. TRICARE Pharmacy Home Delivery, administered by Express Scripts, is also available to beneficiaries.
PRIMARY CARE MANAGERS (PCMs): An MTF provider or team of providers, an individual network provider or a clinic who assumes primary responsibility for providing and coordinating a beneficiary's total health care needs. Enrolled beneficiaries agree to initially seek all non-emergency, non-mental health care services from their PCMs.
SPECIALISTS: A network physician or other healthcare professional, usually with special advanced education and training, who generally provides services other than what a Primary Care Manager (PCM) offers.
About Different Provider Types
The updated date reflects that some number of records, but not all, were updated on the date displayed.
Note: Health Net Federal Servcies makes every effort to provide you with the most current provider information. The Network Provider Directory is subject to change as new providers join the TRICARE program and others leave. The continued participation of any one doctor, hospital or other health care provider in the TRICARE network cannot be guaranteed. Always contact the provider's office first to verify that they are still seeing TRICARE patients.
