Are you a National Guard or Reserve member with questions about how to get the COVID-19 vaccine? TRICARE has the answers you’re looking for.
Getting the COVID-19 vaccine is strongly encouraged, but it isn’t mandatory. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends the vaccine as a key tool in ending the national emergency. The Department of Defense (DoD) created a priority list of when service members receive the COVID-19 vaccination. This is according to guidance from the CDC and the needs of the DoD. Vaccines will be given in phases based on this priority list. Check the TRICARE COVID-19 vaccine page to learn more about the initial phases.
